When I message the craiglisters, I always state "i can be there in *** minutes or a couple of hours to look at it"

More often than not, if you get an excuse back... it is a scam...

No answer, its a scam or they have sold it.

KEEP looking! Smiley

I have been trying to get ahold of the seller for 3 weeks now. I guess I'm not even going to get to see the bike. Oh well, nice picture anyway. Undecided

You don't want that chassis style anyway. It falls in at the tail end of the "cartoon era" of metric cruisers. Like the 1400 Intruder or the Vulcan 1500A, the chassis isn't competent enough to handle the torque output.

If you truly want an 1100 Shadow, go for the next chassis generation. Get an ACE if you like the "American" look-feel-sound, get a Spirit if you like more of a muscle bike look and feel.

An 1100 Shadow can be either chain driven or shaft driven, dual crankpin or single crankpin, depending on which sub-model you choose. Just like the can't get out of their own way 750 siblings. There are only 2 750s that can't beat a Savage in a race, those being the ancient Harley 45 and the entire Shadow production run...  Smiley

Thanks for the input WD. I am not that well versed on the Shadow line and of course never did get to see this bike, even though it is still listed. I was expecting this to be the Shadow Spirit 1100 with dual crank pin, shaft drive and hydraulic valves. And I was going to ask a friend on mine that has one to go with me to check it out.

But since this person is obviously not interested in actually selling the bike. It don't matter no more!!! Angry Angry Angry
