anyone try to run matching tire and wheel diameters front and rear on your savage? something similar to harley forty-eight sizing?

Can you imagine trying to keep up with some of these guys on the Dragon, with a bike set up like that? If slow handling is the desired outcome, that's a really good approach. A tire that size otta be able to splash a gallon up out of any dip,, looks great,
I wonder what the unsprung weight difference is.

Yep.....if you are entering some "S" curves - you better oughta slow down a tad.

Might be really good for riding in the sand.

I'm running Heidenau K36  4.00-18 on my Ryca on both wheels and they are very nice. They are originally on vintage BMWs. The handling is slower than some of the narrower tires but they feel very nice on the road. I had both wheels built by Ryca so they matched in size 18/18 from stock 19/15 FR.
