I switched to old yabb style to view these vids on this old 266mhz system.... but....
There are 3 and 1/2 straight runs on the last video... i do not see how a 125 vespa could outdo the 1000 (or is that just graphics?), or the 650...much less the 250's I see. And is that a ninja 300? no way that could happen.... unless all those drivers are novices.

I can see how the Vespa could be faster on that track....the curves are tighter than the Dragon, the straights are short, and most likely the bikes can't get out of first gear or even up into their power curve. I would bet those are 15-20 mph curves and 40 mph straight sections.
I used to race a 125cc bike in motocross, and the light weight and nimbleness made it faster than the bigger bikes in curves, bumps and jumps....they could only beat me when you had a place where horsepower ruled....like long uphill straights where they could accelerate past me and throw rooster tails of dirt in my face. (This was before folks could do double and triple jumps as we only had 4" of shock and 5" of fork travel).
A 125cc 2 stroke can be modified to make a lot of HP compared to it's weight - stock my 125cc bike in 1974 was 21 HP at 12,500 rpm. I am sure they can get a modern scooter up near 30 HP in racing form. What does a scooter weigh.....150 pounds? The motorcycles are going to be up over 300 pounds...some of them over 400 pounds.
If you were to change the track to something with long straights and sweeping curves....the scooter would not have a chance.
