No .066 slide needle spacer in my realm

It's amazing how little do-hickeys are hard to find on Maui.  Both my mechanic and I  have been looking all over the place but zip results.

We don't want to shave down the stock one because we're screwed if it wasn't the right fix.

We want. to try the spacer before we  start messing with jets.
My 2002 S40 is missing a bit around first and second gears.  If you give it mucho throttle it helps a bit.  But I don't want to have to give it a bunch of throttle.  It idles great and at the right RPM's.

So my crazy request is if any of you out there has either a #4 Teflon spacer or a .066 equivalent I'd be happy to buy it from you.

Thanks, Ron

just stack up 2 or 3 #4 washers instead of the spacer, doesn't have to be teflon or nylon, stainless steel or aluminum are fine.

you can even get some hard plastic tubing and cut it to the length you want.

But, if you insist, I can make you a spacer out of aluminum.

That's exactly what I did. I think they were brass. Don't quote me on that!

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

If you can find someone who has a small mom-and-pop style machine shop they could make a spacer for you out of any material you want...and to exact specs.

Seriously.....any of the member on this site would most likely be willing to put a few #4 washers in an envelope and mail it to you.

The washers are likely only 3 cents each.....I have no idea what a stamp to Maui costs? Huh
