Anyone ever measure the cam specs? Just curious.

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my first post. I'm looking for the timing events. Being a low production and not a very popular bike, I'm not too hopeful.

Nobody I know has measured that. Mostly because there isn't anything you can do about it. Folks don't make adjustable cam gears for this bike (it isn't a small block Chevy). As the cam chain wears the cam will be at a setting just a bit behind where it used to be when new.

Also, with the camshafts available for this engine there is no significant reason to alter the timing. These camshaft grinds work just fine withe the stock timing.

I wasn't looking to change anything, I was just curious.
The recent conversation(s) about "which octane to use" got me thinking. Valve timing directly affects octane requirements. I know with 8.5:1(?) compression we can burn nearly anything but I was looking to see how low (theoretically) we could go with octane. Just curious, that's all.
Thanks guys!
