Empowering...

Mind set is crucial in any endeavor...

This is what meditation does... it changes nothing, except your focus...
...and that is everything... Wink...

Gee, I can't help but think in today's environment Boggle would be called an extremist, handing out weapons to attack threats to them.....
So only those he helps, can survive, forever.

Very nice, and very, ‘feel good’.

And ABSOLUTELY,  NO Problem, helping someone who needs help.

But when OVER 3/4% of the people, (going to use a general term here)
Are on, ‘Welfare’, and those 3/4 %+ people do NOT need help, they are JUST LAZY.

Now, That's a problem.

The actual number is about 12%... (maybe Mn means 3/4 of them shouldn't be?)...
As long as the wage gap continues to grow, this number will only rise... Huh...

From Mn's first link...
"Today, roughly 48 million Americans receive SNAP benefits, costing taxpayers more than $78 billion per year. Yet according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), nearly 18 million American households remain “food insecure.”"
48m is about 12% of 350m...

Since the 70's,... minimum wage has not kept up with inflation,..
Middle class and lower wages have stagnated...
New jobs are mostly in hospitality, food service, and caregiving... "service" industries that can't be sourced out to overseas...

So,... we are increasingly needing to expand social services...

The solution?,.. is to penalize the outsourcers... Outsorcerer's?... Undecided...

Cool, got ya.....

I think we do no one any good by just handing out support without constant verification of need and punishment if abused, it hurts the real folk who honestly need it, removing the resources they are entitled to, and shifting the attention away from the real need....

I agree about blue collar jobs that have been the backbone of the middle class, and a important element in sustainable neighborhoods and a jumping off point to class rise ( wealth ).
I think to fully understand why we need to look at all the forced constraints private businesses were/are saddle with, from environmental to social/PC correctness.
Tell me, why is the NBA exempt from diversity requirements?
Is it because albino Asia lesbians can't shoot 3 pointers?
