Savage Scrambler Concept

Hi all,
Some of you might have spotted my thread over at Dotheton, have decided to share a little here with you guys too. This thread might get a little more technical while dotheton is more styling.
My first bike was a Savage and got hooked on the Single cylinder engine, have decided to get another one, but at 6'6" all legs the stock LS650 isn't exactly roomy, so have decided to tweak it in a more scrambler/tracker oriented route.
12.5" shocks, 17" rear wheel, slightly lowered front forks, a bespoke seat and a layer of clear or paint over the trimmed stock fenders, haven't yet decided on Stock metallic orange or clear over brushed steel.

And here's the clear over steel variant. Am still gathering selling old bit and bobs to gather funds and looking for the right bike to start building on unfortunately, could start building right now, miss the feel of a good thumper
(PS. if anyone knows how to post more than one photo in each post please do share.)

My bike is currently 'burnt orange' but I am going to go down the lacquered steel route. Perfect for a bobber!

2 ways to post pic's.
1st is the way you're doing now, uploading the pics onto ss.com, but you can only do 1 pic.
puts the burden of storing the pics on ss.com, easy for you and permanent.
2nd is uploading somewhere else like bikepics and linking the pics here.
then you can do as many in 1 post as you like.

Ferous,
That is really a nice concept.
I would like to have something exactly like that in the metallic orange.
Mid pegs would be nice too.

Thank you sir, that means a lot. Will be detailing the build here on site specifically so it can be replicated fairly easily like the Rycas. Am planning on building my own seat and exhaust muffler, but if there's enough interest will look into having a few extras stitched up.

Hello FB! ever since I saw this bike last week, I haven't been able to get it out of my mind. This is really the best alternative to a RYCA model. Really gorgeous! Imagine how many Suzuki would sell if they had the imagination!
Biltwell sell a 'banana' seat that looks close to yours. Is your seat available commercially?
I need to get a second bike just to try this. Thank you.
ps: I might use a slightly taller flattrack bar.

that seat looks a lot like a sportster seat which can be made to fit pretty easily I think.

Did look into the Biltwell seat, it should fit the Savage, but it wouldn't have much passenger space and would need the fender modded for a neater look.
At current it is only a concept based off the sportsters seat. But if enough people are interested i'll look into making it available for you guys.

Right on the money Strang. The seats design is based off the sportsters, which has been made to fit several times on this forum. Add a bit of foam in the dip, trim the bottom edges back and re-cover and you could make one fairly easily. But that being said, with shipping, import and modding you'd end up in the same ballpark figure as building a bespoke seat specifically for the Savage, which would fit the bike perfectly.
Why I've chosen to do the later; the base would have to be fiberglass to fit the contours of the frame, and if you made a mould it would be very easy to replicate.

Many of us have raised the front of our seats for better comfort and to reduce sliding forward.
Your seat looks good for your scrambler design, but since you are going to mold your own seat pan
you might want to consider something like this:
