I know the carb is a mikuni but what model? I am looking for a manual/parts breakdown on it.
Also is it easier to get the carb in and out with the Battery box removed? I would appreciate any tips that will make this go smoothly.
All you need to know is in the tech section index.
Look for carb cleaning
Of course removing the bat box gives you more room, but not necessary.
Just take a racket strap and pull back the bat box to clear the bottom of the carb.
Then take the top off the carb, pull out the slide and place it somewhere clean.
loosen the clamps and the clamp to the airbox, turn the carb 90° (either way, don't matter)
push the carb to the right and back with a twisting motion until the front slips out of the flange.
leave the airbox duct there and pull out the carb.
install in reverse order.
Did this last weekend and found it was a lot easier than wrestling with the airbox duct after getting the carb installed.
