Depends, got the original battery and tires?
Bet the petcock is trash.
Tank rusty?
If it's running, ready to ride, okay, maybe a little high, but, if it's a
Resurrection project, I think that's high.
There's a line between
Low miles and
Documented neglect
What are you selling?
Just my opinion, but im an old crank...

As Versy asked:  Where ?  (Do you live)
Your location will affect demand.
I paid $2000 for my 2007 with 60 miles on it 3 years ago.
The price you paid for yours was a little less than that.
If you get $2600 you'll make a nice profit on your investment.

The market for the S40/LS650 is a bit weird.  Folks with money buy a new one at the dealer......folks on a budget look for a used one that is a bargain.

If the bike is very clean and like new, the price is most likely fair.....but not cheap.  I bought my 2004 model in the spring of 2012 (8 year old bike) for $ 2,400 and the bike had 262 miles on it.  The owner was a woman that was dating a biker and learning to ride....then they broke up and she stopped riding.   The bike was always stored inside and it had no corrosion or scratches and was like new.

The market where you live plays a big part in what the bike is worth.  In the Cincinnati area the prices are high - if I start looking at Craigslist posts for bikes in more rural areas the price is less.

Adds for bike in our Marketplace occasionally sells a bike - but not usually the top dollar ones. Most of our member already have bikes and are here for maintenance and modification reasons.

You would be more likely to sell the bike on Craigslist or eBay.

Your local Craigslist is the best tool you have for determining what that bike should sell for in your area.

"Ready to ride" is extremely important. A beautiful, clean bike that has just "sat" for 5-8 years IS a project bike. Carb work, tires, possible battery (tho the battery is only about $80). A complete tire change by a reputable dealer will run you between $300 and $500 depending on the brand of tire. Removing the carb and cleaning it, another $150 or so. Any buyer that knows Savages will know this.

My 2003 was sitting in a barn/garage for over 10 years with only minimal use each year. Needed tires and a battery, and a petcock. It had about 4000 miles and I picked it up for $1200. Local Craigslist showed it was worth around $1,800.

In my humble opinion, IF that bike is spot on clean and runs well with good rubber, it should sell for between $2,300 and $2,500. If it needs tires or doesnt run PERFECTLY, you could still get $2,000 if you put a lot of pics in the ad and write up the bike's specifics. Your price is higher than the price that local dealerships are selling that bike for (used, showroom condition).

I have the white 05 , bought it in 09. It had 440 miles paid 3495 for it. Now I have 25k plus miles on her.  Try and get what you want. See what interest there is, if you get a reasonable offer then you can take it or leave it. See what others in your area are asking. Check year and mileage etc !! Good luck. Also Kelly blue book I believe has bike prices too.

I'm really squeamish about really low miles on a bike that old.  With no more information than we have already, I'd be a buyer at $1200 tops.  I paid $1600 for my 05 with 10k miles.  I then made the guy refund me $100 because it arrived with a weak battery and a broken turn signal (It hadn't been down.  The shipper said the PO broke the turn signal during loading).

My point is that I paid more for an 05 with 10k on the odo than I would pay for your bike.  The reasoning is that the bike with 10k on it has been loved and maintained.  The bike with 577 miles has been sitting for reasons unknown for ages with little or no attention.  If it wasn't made ready for storage properly then we've got real problems.  It's just not worth it when I could go to CL or Ebay and pick up a bike that doesn't have these concerns for a thousand dollars less.

If you change the tires, hoses, clean the carb, change the battery, change the oil, show pics of a rust free tank, and add a good video of the bike running smoothly and putting out proper voltage, your price would be more than fair and I'd wager that you'd sell it on day one of your listing (depending on where you live and where you list).

*EDIT* I see the YUASA box and the WD-40 on the table.  That's a pretty good indicator of something.
