Short Sissy Bar?

I copied the picture below from the forum Photo Gallery.

Where did the short Sissy Bar come from?

Anyone know of a source?

Dave,

What do you think he used for stock to make it?

I have seen a few on the Distel site, so there must have been someone in Germany selling them at one time. Possibly homemade because most were painted black.

I just ordered the sissy bar and side rails from a guy on the forum. I would like a much shorter height so that I can easily  throw my leg over it. I just want it so I have something to tie "stuff' to.

Addition: Dave, I found the post that you referred to.

Since it's short, I would just use square tubing if you can find the right size.

Otherwise the stock bar is made of solid bar stock.

Verslagen,

How would you go about bending square tubing?

I don't have a clue about how to do something like that.

go to a professional.
they will have a bender.
I'd probably go full radius with tubing as it'll distort at the bends if they're sharp.
bar stock you could do in a vise and 6 feet of pipe.   Huh
I would consider aluminum.

Verslagen,

Thank You!

I am glad that I asked, I never would have thought of a wrought iron fence company.

Yup, just drive the bike down there and say, make it here to here and this tall.
They might even produce some wicked twisted ones.

Rider,

Straight will suit me.

I never gave it a thought when I used to see the twisted sissy bars on choppers that a fence guy may have made the sissy bar...LOL

The picture in my initial posting at the top of this page; did anyone notice the foot peg mounted up on the chrome fender rail near the seat?

What would be the purpose of a foot peg that high?

Well, if you have a short sissy bar, maybe you have a short sissy riding with?

I saw it, but didn't think about it. I can't fathom a purpose.
