What do you think he used for stock to make it?

I have seen a few on the Distel site, so there must have been someone in Germany selling them at one time. Possibly homemade because most were painted black.

I just ordered the sissy bar and side rails from a guy on the forum. I would like a much shorter height so that I can easily throw my leg over it. I just want it so I have something to tie "stuff' to.

I'd probably go full radius with tubing as it'll distort at the bends if they're sharp. bar stock you could do in a vise and 6 feet of pipe. I would consider aluminum.
