Lancer:

The box for the 97mm Wiseco "pop up" piston has a piston/cylinder clearance listed on the box, and Boretech used this when they bored my cylinder.  The box has:  Clear 0.0019(0.048mm)

For the new Wiseco 97mm flat top piston I cannot find what the clearance should be.  The box doesn't have it listed - and there is no information inside other than for the ring end gap.

Do you know what the clearance is for the flat top piston?

The engine shop I use told me that Wiseco pistons are happy at .0035" of clearance.  This is a little more clearance than the stock pistons.  The guy I use used to work for Thumper Racing (which has closed), and he runs his own shop now called Built Motors.

.018" - .020"?????  That sounds like way too much clearance!  Or are you talking ring end gap?  That is too big for the piston to cylinder wall.
