I think those TU 250'S were called Volty's in my country. I feel sure it's the same engine as a GN250 which I brought when I reintroduced my self to motorcycling after a twenty seven year break. It would do it's 100kmh ,62 mph ok but anything more was a little more challenging. and for most of it's life it topped out at about 68-70 mph. Steep gradients did present a power loss. If I had mega dollars and a Jay Leno garage, I'd have one for nostalgia, after three years on it I needed bigger and the S40 fits 90% of the bill.

Yes, the Rebel 250 and more rare 450 used the same engines (the 250 and 450 are different) as their Nighthawk counterparts, and, had Honda not killed the Nighthawks in favor of their Sales Pig, would still likely be in production today, as the Nighthawks were sales leaders (proof that not all American motorcyclists are dumb, but Honda sure can be)
