Well, I should hope so!

There have been 8 shark attacks on people this year in North Carolina waters and I heard today a porpoise washed ashore that had been bitten by a shark and died.

Below is a link to a website that tracks sharks with a radio transmitter of some sort. When the sharks' fin, with the "pinger" attached breaks the surface, it registers with a satellite and you can track the shark.

It tells about her, age, weight (2300 pounds), length (14 ft 2 in), and some other stuff.

If you zoom in on the map, her most "inland" ping, on January 10, 2015, is about 18.5 miles (as the crow flies) from where I live now. Pretty cool, I think.

I am shark proof. My socks, pants an t shirt are shark proof. They don't get wet. AND,  I promised the sharks that I would stay out of their front yard IF they stayed out of mine. So far, no sharks in my yard...

My daddy used to say, avoid places where you are not the top of the food chain. Good advice, in the wild and in society...

What an interesting paradox - she is being dangerous recording a video while she drives to tell everyone how to be safe.
