Raptor petcock leaking at tank/bolt interface

Hi,
I have recently installed a raptor petcock and it has been leaking ever so slightly since I installed it. Today I decided to try and fix it, but seems it just got worse even though I put a little bit of liquid gasket on the o-ring that lies against the tank.
The tank surface has been thoroughly cleaned for residue and so on, so I don't think the leak is at the o-ring.
I have a feeling the leak is through the threads, but I am not sure on the best approach to fix that. I've considered putting some liquid gasket on the thread of the bolts and see if that helps?
Any ideas/experiences from you on how I can go about fixing this would be most appreciated...

There ought to be a cork washer on each of the bolts. The bolts should be just snugged down so the washer isn't crushed. You can make them easily from cork jointing from the motor supply place or offcuts from a car gasket set. That worked for me. maybe Stag might seal it, I don't remember if the rubber gasket isolates the bolt holes from the fuel passage.

Mekh,
Here is a genuine Yamaha Raptor Petcock.
Note the o-ring is around the perimeter of the surface that mates with the gas tank.

"fuel lube" on the black rubber both sides and a good smear on the screws.

shouldn't need anything on the rubber.
but the bolts need sealing washers, I use the same ones on the covers.
but, liquid gasket should work.

Hi all,
Thanks a bunch for the advice. I had a look at the old bolts and could see something resembling gaskets as mentioned above. For some reason I can't get off those gaskets easily, so I will try with some small o-rings and see if that will work.
I'll post a follow-up once I've tried it

O-rings was a no-go, but it seems copper washers could do it... hope it has stopped leaking for good now.

If you have a dealer somewhere....or can order them online, the proper Suzuki Part is a metal washer with rubber bonded to it.
Part Number 09168-06026
They are $ 2.41 each.
