03 Suzuki Savage

Picked up this Suzuki fairly cheap as my first bike. It had some title issues that i was able to track down the original owner and get straightened out so i've just been goin around the neighborhood until its legit. taking the beginners riders course soon.  so until then I've been messing with it a bit. painting and sanding down some bits mostly. . .

day i brought it home

as it sits now

the tank was pushed in pretty good on top, looked like some some one sat on it.  I was able to get the majority of the dents out  so i cut out this vinyl decal to "cover" the rest

expiramenting with the sand blaster

New LED turn signals, I used the original bracket but tturned them sideways.

experimenting with some smaller LED's going to put a switch in to swap between the brights and just the blue. the camera makes it look brighter than it is.

More to come. . . .

Welcome to the forum! For your first bike, you did good. Keep an eye on the front brake pads. Mine wore out in 7000 miles. But, they're cheap and easy to replace.

Must be late! It took me a minute to figure out what GAS meant on the cap. Duh!

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

I had the same issue with the handlebars on my '03...cocking a leg out of the way to do a sharp turn.  I bought a stainless handlebar from an HD store that was straighter and wider.

Harley bars are a straight drop-in replacement, both use 1" bars.
