Yes, its mine.....
It is an old, 1959 Glasspar Seafair I rescued from distinction  Cheesy
I am slowly bringing her back to life, but I'll never get her back to her former glory days, but many far more talented than I do.
The line has a dedicated bunch putting much effort into them.

It has a porta potti

I need a sign  Angry

We loaded up, my wife, BNL, and myself, 5 traps, and plenty of anticipation of dungeness crab dripping with butter.

Got them baited and dropped in.

Checked back after a short soak, nothing  Angry

Kept checking the same two, nothing....

Well, long story short. I bought a couple new traps, they came yesterday and I rigged them up.
Uh, I never removed the small rubber band that holds the trap door the crabs walk into the trap, when shipped, CLOSED

Geez, I can't make this stuff up.......  Embarrassed

I was planning on installing the belt sweetheart Dave sent me, but am having seconds thoughts, I might choke myself with the belt somehow  Sad

PS: We did manage to scratch out 1 lone boy keeper my wife and I shared with our dinner. We did get a fair amount of females, but we can not keep them. You have to release them.

Not sure why the females readily enter the traps and the males don't, but a discerning mind could prolly offer a few good answers if we think of their landlocked sisters and how they readily take the bait in a bar  Cool

maybe if you endow the cage with some burnt rubber, empty beer bottles and such maybe you'll get more males.   Grin

I've caught many a crawdad with bacon on a string too, love em'  Smiley

Yep, crab don't seem to picky. After the salmon season opens I use the heads and carcase, that I think too them is like a banana split with lots of whipped cream.....they almost climb into your boat to get it  Roll Eyes

I like to zip tie a turkey leg to the cage, hanging it upside down inside the cage. It works good and they can't shred it so fast, so one leg last a while.

Course in my day I could shed a pair of legs in no time.....but then again I could walk up a flight of stairs without have to stop at every landing to rest  Undecided

Old Rider there's bacon, and bacon
one kind is nice thick slices running with juicy goodness you can actually get a crisp on
the other is that paper thin crap that goes from undesrcooked to burned faster than you can get it outta the pan
THAT crap goes to the crustaceans  Grin
