This fellow built a bicycle that reverses the direction of steering, and no one could ride it. It took him 9 months to adapt his brain so he could ride it....and then he could not ride a regular bike!

I might have the time to build one....but not enough time to learn how to ride it!

Wow... Makes you think...
...
Every once in a while,.. I make myself reverse hand coordination...
Try to brush your teeth, comb your hair, stir your coffee, or use a fork in the opposite hand...
It's tricky,... you could lose an eye...

well duh
How long did it take to learn to ride a two wheeler in the first place? you reverse the reaction of all inputs, you gotta retrain

I agree with Art, but appreciate the experiment a lot.
Wouldn't need a lock!

This raises one question, 2 people who never learn to ride any bike, one learning a normal bike while the other learning the reverse bike, which one would succeed faster?

Probably a draw, unless one is just naturally better suited to riding than the other (everyone tends to learn to ride a two wheeler at their own pace)

That answer is full of variables.
Inherent ability.
Is one bicycle design actually more intuitive to learn?
I say that the normal bike is.
I thought the difference in his and his sons learning time was cool.
