They don't seem to be name brand, like Lincoln, or Miller, but run about $100. Has anyone used these before? Are they any good?

migs have some weak links, wire feed jamming and speed control.
Gassless migs ? Never used one. The gas puts an inert gas area around the weld. So, a fan blowing,, ,you do the math..

If you have a problem,need parts, anything,and there is no brick and mortar store to go to with receipt in hand, then what?
The tips need replaced,little wheels in the wire feed may need replaced.

Google the product name and terms like
Unreliable, junk, etc.

The first one lasted about 5 years. I'm also on my second case (24/2#) of wire but it's almost gone. I need to learn to weld aluminium .

get a tig box and LOTS of practice. i spent over a year, 8 hrs a day in school learning how to tig. start with mild steel to get the hang of the rhythm and technique needed, then move on to aluminum, which is a whole DIFFERENT beast all together. it melts so much different and is hard to gauge when to dip the rod

I have this welder, but got it about 5 years ago and it's NI branded, not this off-brand. Looks identical other than mine is yellow.

If you only do light stuff now and then (not welding race car cages, life dependent things, etc) it's great. It's 110, s you can plug it into any regular home plug and go to work!
