Here in Austin we had some areas that were flooded. Thanking God I wasn't in one of them. I feel sooo sooo bad for all those along the Blanco in Wimberley who got hit hard, and to the families who lost loved ones. Nature is a brutal force.
However, this will put a dent in the drought we have been having. Lake Travis, which is the main source of Austin's water, is up 35 feet now (Previously 51 feet below full, now 15 feet below full, and still climbing slowly from everything upstream). Haven't had the lake this full in 5 years. All this happened in less than a month. Gives me job security since I work for a water utility
