I was out riding all weekend, and checked out the Wimberley area on Monday.
Lots of destruction.  Incredible what the Blanco River did all along it's course.
I couldn't even get close to any of the crossings that I usually go over.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

I lived in North Hills for a few years when I was stationed there and never saw as much flooding as I'm seeing now. Just checking on all of y'all that may live near the destruction.

The lake down the road from me is shut down due to high water.  I've never seen it so high.  No danger of flooding me, but it is crazy.  Normally this time of year there are boats everywhere out there.  It pretty much just storms every day now.   Sad

Are you near Grand Prarie or Mesquite? I used to live in Wylie. I should be getting transferred back sometime soon.

In the Northwest this is supposed to be our rainy season. Yet weather all week has been in the low 80's and sunny. Driest spring in our history I believe.  Never saw a snow flake this winter in Portland. Already talking about a drought and many of our lakes have dropped up to 40 ft this spring. Weird weather we are all having for sure!

Here in Austin we had some areas that were flooded. Thanking God I wasn't in one of them. I feel sooo sooo bad for all those along the Blanco in Wimberley who got hit hard, and to the families who lost loved ones. Nature is a brutal force.

However, this will put a dent in the drought we have been having. Lake Travis, which is the main source of Austin's water, is up 35 feet now (Previously 51 feet below full, now 15 feet below full, and still climbing slowly from everything upstream). Haven't had the lake this full in 5 years. All this happened in less than a month. Gives me job security since I work for a water utility  Cheesy

Thanks for inquiring about us Texans down here.

It's no problem. Before I moved up to PA I remember in San Antonio it not raining for basically 3 years. That is hard. I'm glad that TX is at least getting out of drought conditions for the most part. However, I am saddend that it has to come with floods. I can't wait to get back to Wylie, TX. I miss home.
