My roommate (also a biker) said that what he's been hearing is for all "bikers" to stay away from Waco. He works at the new Indian dealership just north of Austin. I don't know how accurate the statement's he heard were...but I don't wanna take my chances. It makes me wonder what the local Twin Peaks bike night turn out will be like tonight.

My bike is out of commission while I install my leatherlyke bags...  :'(  so I suppose I'm just kinda waiting for most of this to blow over.

On a side note...I'm looking forward to walking around with my leather biker jacket on through the "rich" shopping areas of town.  Tongue

Why all the hate against the cops? I haven't heard the whole story yet but I doubt the cops did anything wrong. If 2 rival gangs want to shoot at each other, what do you expect the cops to do?

Hmmm, yeah, it kind of looks like the cops may have been a little exuberant at this point. I wasn't there so I don't know. I'm just a little tired of stories in the news that bash the cops for doing their job.

Apology? Nah... not to be mean or arrogant or anything but I think the previous comment by oldNslow was a little premature. Please don't think I'm being argumentative.

Dave, you're confusing the issue. The gun only has one cylinder, like the savage. And it only fires one bullet with one trigger pull. Sooo, it's a single. Wink Wink

Well.....when the trouble breaks out.....I intend to have the sound of my single fading in the distance as I hustle on out of there! Wink

The most comprehensive coverage I've seen on it.

Apparently there are some people just like us, sittin in jail with a million dollar bond, which is, IMO, illegal.

I agree...we don't really know the facts yet.

I'm with JOG on this one...I waiting for the gov't agent's name to leak out and some alphabet soup agency to start telling us this was some sort of sting operation gone wrong. They'll never admit it until the guy's name is out there.

OK, I definitely apologize for the title of the thread. If one of the moderators would like to change it, that would be great.  Embarrassed

I'm ok with the original title... there are morons in waco, they could be the bikers or just associated with them (i.e., police)

Just FYI to all members...
You can go back and edit your own posts, or thread titles... yourself...
There is a modify button...

This is not only handy for regretful comments,.. but you can correct spellings, or technical errors...
..or not... Wink...
That said,.. now don't go around editing all over the place, or the threads will become confusing jumbles...
Grin...

PS.. I'm fine with the title as it is, too... Huh...

PSS... if you do edit a post, more than an hour after it's posted.. a note will appear the bottom of the post saying when you last edited it...

NPR. One of the more balanced purveyors of news IMO. I think the less sensationalized and straightforward reporting will start to trickle out in the next days or weeks. Gonna have to look for it though. Fox, Drudge,CNN NBC ect. have already moved on. They got their rating hits. They don't really care about what went on any more.
