There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

It would seem that there is some truth in the old adage, "You can tell the happy rider by the bugs in his teeth".... Or maybe not....

I was going down the interstate this past summer and a bird hit me in the face.  I saw a blur and when I pulled over the poor thing was in between the handle bars and the wind shield.

Best regards,

MMRanch and I had this experience last year on the early Dragon Run.  We were coming home from Hendersonville, and it had just rained and the roads were wet and the sun had gone down.  As we rode along a creek the small bugs were so thick it looked like snow in the my headlight.  The water spray from my tires kept my helmet and bike pretty clean - but MMRanch had crash bars that were sticking out from the tire spray and not being washed off.....and when we got up the next morning his crash bars looked like they had a "shredded coconut" coating on them!

Had my first bee sting a few weeks ago, when I left the flip part of my helmet open, glad it wasn't a wasp, or a lot of wasps or bees.
