Thanks to koehlerrk for his link in another post. I just posted this to make it easily searchable.

RC Tachometer on Google Play $1.31 for the app for your phone...best part...IT WORKS. Very easy setup even for an old dude. Like the kids say "there's an app for that Uncle Chuck".

Now easy to set idle speed...even though the old ear wasn't too far off.

Cheapest tool in your box. Cool

Thumper fits real nicely!! Right wheelbase and weight. Pulls up with an ATV winch...wanted to try riding it up, but the wife said no...just kidding. Grin

Currently on the road to West Yellowstone, Montana for the summer. Cool

Same readout either way.

I'm betting that the people who understand how this engine works,what it needs to stay healthy, will be either a bit high or not even 100 RPM low.

Pretty close for an old guy huh? Still worth the $1.31. Compared the app tach with the tach on the Hummer and it was right on... pretty cool program.
