How do you remove the throttle cable from the carb

Well, that maxes out the board's length for thread titles!
I couldn't even add a question mark.
Anyway, the little post thingy on the end of the cable...how does it come out of the throttle bracket? It's probably very simple to do but it's 10:00 pm here and I just worked over 10 hours. Be gentle!

Is the end of the throttle cable still held in with a small spring clip on your bike? (Most of those clips get lost the first time anyone takes the carb off).
If the clip is pulled out, the throttle cable should pull right out. If yours doesn't, a bit of corrosion must be holding it together.

What I did to take it out is turn the throttle on the carb and match up the slit on the plate and slip the wire out and with that comes the thing on the end, simple as that

Yea...I probably didn't understand the question. The end of the outer cable is held by a clip. The end of the inner cable just needs to be rotated until the cable lines up with the slot.

Even without the clip in place it was a bear to wrestle that little cable out of it's holder. It ain't goin' nowhere!
