spring part?
04/07/15 at 10:05:48

On a RYCA build, is the little wound spring around the rear brake arm removed?  I don't have one on my bike.  Are they even there stock?

Also:  whats the seal number for the large rear axle bearing seal?  best place to buy?....thanks....

OR.  Is there a sealed bearing equivalent for the open cage ball bearing so I don't have to worry about grease getting tossed about?

thanks
Mike

RYCA now includes a brake stop in their kit. It's not as nice as Gerry's, but it gets the job done.

RYCA also recommends that the spring at the hub be removed so the control arm can be rotated to a 7:00 position.

Thanks Gary.  I thought it was removed for a reason.  The internal shoe return springs do a good job returning the shoes (and lever arm) to the neutral position.

I have Gerry's brake stop and switch brackets.  Nice job on them.  I also have his "plan A" gauge bracket.  I'm looking on how to adapt that onto the bike.
