Looks as aerodynamic as a toaster. Wish there was an overhead view, there may be a couple of slots on top.

actually it just looks like a toaster period lol

As cold as it has been.....I might turn the toaster setting to "DARK" if I rode it to work in the morning.

Put that way, riding a toaster might actually be tempting  Grin
I am pretty much ok with riding 'ugly' if it works well, tbh

My wife asked me what color sheets do I want.
Told her I don't care, typically, I sleep with my eyes closed..
When I'm riding, I FEEL the bike. I feel how it pulls, how it shifts, how it handles and I hear it. Since nearly all of my riding was Other than highway, I didn't need something to run 70+ for hours on end..
Quick enough to be fun, not SO good handling that such a fool as myself would find himself in a sweeping turn at speeds beyond his ability,
All that to say this.

Making choices to satisfy some invisible critics just won't do.
Somehow, I don't think this crowd of rebels and misfits Really needs to be
Told that while we ride we really can't see much of what we ride and what others see has no impact or effect on how riding it feels for me. We who choose the Savage have already stepped well away from allowing what others may think to hold sway over our choices.
Is it ugly? Well, I think they chose poorly on the paint scheme..
The design looks like they set aside the whole idea that a bike should be visually attractive and designed solely with function as the guide.
I dunno all the specifications, the gearing, weight, top speed, price,,
but I just can't help but believe Honda KNOWS it's ugly and they built it anyway.. So, I'm guessing They believe that it has enough positive qualities to make it a marketplace success in spite of its lack of beauty.

agreed
at the same time though, it's a common, and true, saying
If when you get off your bike, you don't turn around for a last look (before going in to work, for example) you bought the wrong bike
I sometimes like to just look at a bike, as much as ride it
of course the bike does have a certain 'funtional' look to it
If it can back that up, it'd make up for a lot of ugly  Grin

I would be more sympathetic if the black bits were white and the blue bits black, but then I own an S40 and that causes virtual 100% satisfaction. even if I occasionally look at Bolts and W800's/650's

Stokes, the Ws are rare in the States. I have a 650. ,
I rather have the Savage for a quick blast across town. If I could only have one, I think I would have the W. Moot point since I don't ride anymore..

JOG2, that's a hard one as in the last thirty plus years, I've only ridden a Suzuki GN250 Chinese made and my S40. On Trade Me the NZ equivalent of EBAY there are about four W650'S  advertised at the moment. If you are interested go to www.trademe.co.nz and type in Kawasaki W650 and have a look at what they sell for here. A $NZ is currently worth about 75US cents maybe a bit less. I think I pointed out the current NZ price of a W800, just under $NZ 13000, which is still cheaper or about the same as a base Yamaha Bolt. Current S40 price street legal is about $NZ 8500 from a stealer/whatever.

Dave,

Yes sir you did, now that I think about it, I remember reading it a few days ago when this thing first popped up. I must've forgotten today when I was posting my last response. Sorry about that.

I remember my dad telling me about how the Aztek was a "design by committee" and he always said none of the guys on the committee had enough balls to speak up and say, "hey this thing is pretty ugly!" because they didn't wanna upset the boss. It's the perfect vehicle for Heisenberg though. I mean, the concept they had for the aztek was pretty cool. Being able to pop a tent out the back of it and all. Maybe Honda have/had some clever concept uses for the bulldog bike.

Just remember, even though the Aztek was mainly design by committee, the Cheif Designer, was in charge of this thing.....

Just proof that people don't bat a thousand...being involved in the creative process is , well, there are no guarantees. My last project, another exercise in Doing just to Do, replacing the horn on a Civic with the horns off of a Taurus, installing a relay, building brackets and wedging the things up between bumper cover and core support, 20+ HOURS of dragging the Taurus up, find out where they hid the horns, figure out how to wire it, all sounds easy,,, but at the end of it that last bracket just had no room,, took almost 4hours on that one piece,, so. Yeah,Aztek stinks, but, everyone who was involved achieved something,,  I JUST got that... Ha! Who says that this internet is a waste of time?
