There is a current ad in the Marketplace for a right-hand suicide shift.

It is equivalent to stepping back in time 100 years.

A definite de-evolution in convenience and safety.

If you've never tried one,... it's a lot like trying to ride and play guitar at the same time...

If that's how they came everyone would want it on the bars,, it's not quick, safe, unless a  handicap requires it, I see nothing desirable.

It Can be done with a bit of imagination. Im currently working on a hard tail savage project with a couple of unique parts, one of them being a right side jockey shift. I started a couple of threads on here that required some out of the box thinking and didn't receive much positive feedback. In the end it's your bike, build it the way you want it, and enjoy the ride. Check out chopcult.com. for your custom needs

This company will make a kit for your bike complete with correct length clutch cable. I've looked into this since I had jockey shift on my triumph bobber and rode that way for so long traditional clutch and foot shift for me seems odd. Kit runs about 350-400 and comes with everything bolt up and go. Takes a bit of getting use to but once you've got it, it's second nature riding and shifting.

My first bike had a foot clutch and a three speed tranny hand shifted.  A 1942 Indian Army Chief.  Hard tail of course with a springer front end.  Absolutely horrible.  Probably worth a lot of money now.
