Issue is Flash, and the fact a lot of stuff simply doesn't support Flash any more. And Flash doesn't support anything now naturally but Windows. Flash is also version sensitive .....
To beat that, just click on the red typed link which will take you to YouTube and the YouTube player will play the Flash stuff for you.
Flash is being superseded by HTML5 but a lot of older stuff remains on Flash. Apple people are used to not having flash since Jobs banned it as "bugware" a long long time ago.
Flash has become somewhat of a Windows world legacy program, useful if you can get it to working.
Chrome browser supports it still, so if you can crank it on a Chrome browser you will likely see the birdy fly.
