Owner's Manual?
03/10/15 at 00:11:49
I've ordered a Clymer's Manual. Will it have everything I need since I don't have an owner's manual?
And where's this tool kit compartment I've read about? I can't find it.

Here is a pic of the toolkit, the cover goes over it and a link to an owners manual. Hope this helps.

It SHOULD be the shiny chrome box on the right side with a keyed lock under it. If you don't have a shiny box, yours probably fell off long ago.
For the manuals, it depends on what you're looking for. Beware: the clymer's DOES have errors, which are annotated on the forum. You won't get a lot from the owner's manual other than service intervals and some recommended fluids. There might still be one hosted around here somewhere...
EDIT: I guess I was seconds too late... there's your answer!

I like to look at manuals as a resource. Some resources are better than others and some have better descriptions / pictures than others.

Yep, my cover and tool kit are missing. I thought that was the battery cover I needed to replace. Glad I didn't spring for the battery cover I found online.

Yep. Alice's Restaurant is a true classic. I still get a good laugh each time I hear it. I even named my latest beagle pup "Arlo".

The stock tool kit is of marginal use for those of us who like stock bikes and originality, you will be better advised by the techies here to get a better kit, you may already have better hand tools yourself. Many here will treat with contempt the belt adjusting tool supplied in the tool kit. This was missing when I brought my bike brand new in 2010.
