Engine noise after tensioner replacement
03/08/15 at 17:35:42
Had a buzzing sound so I measured my tensioner at 19mm and replaced it this morning with a verslavy. Unfortunstly it is back still, cannot see anything that is rattling and it tends to happen after I am warmed up after 15-20 minutes at speed. Here is a video I took when I got back from my test ride. (Video will be on next post because of new user posting rules)Any ideas? My only mods are the tensioner and the petcock, everything else is stock at the moment.

Yes, it was a little squirrely going in because the tie fell out after I mounted it the first time. I had to switch it to the second hole under tension. Thanks for the mod by the way, it looks great.

The first hole was bottomed out at the pin so I had to use the second hole. Does it sound like it is just too tight?

It was there before, I was hoping it was a tensioner issue but that does not look to be the case. Probably should have specified that. Going to be heading to bed but I'll check back In the morning.

When you drain oil, run a magnet through it.
If it's not bad, add oil, try to isolate the noise.
