I think I've probably hit grasshoppers that big. At least they sounded that big bouncing off my helmet!

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

I hate it when grasshoppers bounce off of your forehead. That hurts.

I had that photo of my screen saver at work for about a year.
It freaked people out....seems they like cut puppies, family photos, etc.

Ooops....seems like I forgot to type the all of the word "cute".
I could go back and fix it....but you shouldn't go back in time and mess around. I have watched those "time travel movies", and I know all kinds of bad stuff could happen.

That happened to Tazio Nuvolari a very skilled racing driver in the 1930's. A deer leaped out on his Auto Union (Audi) while practicing at Nurburgring. At least Nuvolari had the benefit of four wheels and he had the deer's head mounted as a trophy.

On a city street, passing a park, I had one cross in front of me close enough I could hear the hooves on the pavement. Spooky, but nothing like actually having one bounce off.

I had a fawn, out in the country, do the same thing, I was braking it down as hard as I could, he was trying to get across the road for all he was worth. and like JOG, i cold hear the hooves clicking on the pavement. We both made it, for which I am very thankful.

My current score is Thumper 2, Bambi 0.
First time:
Small doe came from the left shoulder. Didn't see her until JUST before she hit me leg and pounded it into the tank. Bike jumped right, but controlled it OK. Got stopped, turned around, and she was shaking her head in the middle of the road.. then took off.
Second time: Fawn came out of a ditch on the right shoulder. Saw it, and had just enough time to think "Do NOT grab front brake. Do NOT try to steer". Smacked into it, knocked it over, ran it over. Stopped. It was laying in the road. It was alive when I got to it, but dead by the time I carried it over to some shade. That really bothered me for a while.
Close calls.. .too many to count.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.
