I bet you do... Smiley...
Wind gusts up to 40mph made the ride up a little hard... but the ride home was like floating...
Sonoita is wine country,... rolling plains at 4500ft... 50 miles out of Tucson...
Grin...
Mine is the Sportster,... Jerry has the trike, and my buddy George was just trying out the 750 Shadow he just bought...

Oy! I didn't know ya had a sporty, mate! (Australian accent, i dont know why i wanted to say it in an Australian accent  Smiley)

We will get some pretty windy days here in Austin...that's the only downside of having "nice" weather, cool days, they always seem to be very windy.

However, I don't remember the last time it was up to 40MPH...

Nice sporty though.  Cheesy

We get plenty of 30 MPH winds in North Texas.

Our best riding days are winds in the 5 to 10 MPH range.

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

Hey, Serow, can you answer this? every time I go to a new bike show, I sit on a sportster and it feels like I'm sitting on a rail, especially compared to a 750 shadow or 800 vulcan. What gives?  Why is it so bloody stiff? Cool

Well,.. I did ride an 03' Sporty with a humped stock seat that literally did feel like a rail... (or maybe a telephone pole)... This one is a Superlow, and the seat is quite good...
The suspension is another matter... only about 2 1/2" in the rear and not much more in the front,.. so it is a hard ride...  (and at 140lb, I don't think I move it very much)...
I'm used to my Savage, with 12.5" shocks, and it rides like a cushy DP bike...

I love the Sporty engine... Torquey, torquey, torquey... ...but, I could live without all that weight, and the hard ride...

Too bad there just ain't a shoehorn big enough to get an 883 into my Savage frame... Huh...

That would be awesome. I would do that in a heart beat if I could.
