Bought a Big Single
03/04/15 at 12:49:40

Well, with another 6 to 12" of snow forecast for tonight here in balmy central Kentucky, the winter blues finally got to me and I pulled the trigger on a new big single.

Sure my 2007 Suzuki C50 v-twin had character and the current 1992 six cylinder GL1500 Wing is amazing on the open highway, but I began missing the S40, my first bike, the day after I sold it. Just something about that big old single thumping away. I had to get another single.

The floor model was not quite what I wanted so the dealer placed a special order and delivery is expected to be in 2 to 3 weeks. I will post pictures once it is in hand. But in the mean time, if you care to venture a guess on the make and model, the first one to hit it will receive the recognition of all and a hardy handshake.

Good hunting

I'm guessing Enfield, too. But, hoping it's one of these, to satisfy my curiosity at someone else's expense  Wink http://www.bikeexif.com/swm-moto#more-18734

If Blinky is big enough to handle the GW, maybe that tall Kawasaki 650 got his mind churning.. A dual purpose bike in Kentucky? If I was tall and strong I'd be all over that.

I was picturing the scene in Blazing Saddles when the guy said the sherriff would receive a Laurel and Hardy handshake (as he held a laurel wreath)!  Grin

I guess the only good thing about this is that you can get a preseason deal on a big single if you work at it.

This is what we woke up to this morning in Central Kentucky. The official total is 14" and it is still coming down. I know this is nothing for you northern types that would just use a broom to clear 14", but this is something to behold for Lexington Kentucky.

On the way to "It ain't the dragon" on my new single.

The Honda Grom has probably put smiles on more people’s faces than just about anything in the recent motorcycle world. And it’s easy to see why:

Yep, I spent a couple of hours with my Kawasaki this morning....it has a big V-twin engine.

My snowblower has a 15 HP Kawasaki engine on it! Grin

Looking at the SR 400 it seems to be kick only
stupid, Yamaha, very stupid, even the folks who think that's 'hardcore' will wish for a button now and then
