Back around 1960 I used to admire the BMW airheads and wanted one but they were way too expensive.  Today I finally got one.  A 1972 R60/5 toaster tank.  I'm too embarrassed to post any pictures.  It is one ugly bike, hideous seat, faded paint, etc.

I was told that it used to run before it went into storage but no one can remember how long ago that was.  So I got a project that probably won't be done until about this time next year.  Should be fun.  It won't be displacing the S40 but it might bump out an old Honda.
