I had no idea that there was something else to listen to other than the bike.

+1. To each his own, but God help me if I need to be entertained while riding a motorcycle. And God help me because I just agreed with JOG! Wink

nothing, not even the sound of the savage's exhuast, can mak a freeway drone 'entertaining' so I can understand a desire for tunes
Never had much luck with that though, except earbuds with a walkman lol

I like tunes as I cruise.
Sena bluetooth.  I can switch between earbuds (country) and speakers (inside the helmet for city).  Music from the phone, and I have an XM radio with a bluetooth dongle as well.
Actually.. the bluetooth setup is so the CFO (wife) can call me if she needs to.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut between the seat and the handlebars. Make sure yours isn't too tight or too loose.

I did the same thing last summer.  I am introducing my wife to the back seat of my motorcycle, and I knew she would enjoy it far more if she could talk to me while we ride.  The Sena SMH10 headset also connects to my I-phone and I can use the phone, listen to music, or have the GPS give me route instructions as a ride.  I tend not to use the music option much.  Luckily the expensive I-phone part of the system is my work phone and the office pays for it....which is a justifiable office expense as it makes it possible for them to contact me when I am not at the office (and the cool part is they can't tell I am on my motorcycle when I answer!!!!!!!). While Dave's solution is the expensive route, it's the one that works.

Don't bother with the $13 radio and speakers...you'll only hear it at stop lights and since you have the volume cranked to the max, the speakers will be blown in short order. Might as well take that money an put in the trash...it'll save you a step.

The vibration will probably kill it or the speakers quickly, anyway. Mp3, earbuds, Bluetooth.

Why ask us? you obviously think we're dumb for not knowing, without being told, that your system is powered off the bike, not internal batteries, as some are, and uses external speakers rather than earbuds, as some systems do
A '$13 radio form ebay could obviously only mean one particular system, if we don't know the details without being told, we must be too dumb to help you

Hint: use a 'hot in run only source, like the ignition maybe, but don't ask me which one, I'm a dumbass

Suzy,.. you'll have to shoot us some pics, or wiring details, or a liink...

It may need 1 constant hot, and 1 switched... plus ground...
Antenna,... speaker power or passive...

... but, generally,.. bike music needs a lot of power to overcome wind noise...
Unless it's inside yer' helmet...
