No, I didn't watch the video. Was busy doing other stuff at the time and just didn't have time.

Sorry Ralph.

When you get time....you should watch it.  It is really funny, and pitiful at the same time.  She is a good singer, performer, and rumor is she is a nicer person - she just doesn't know much about geography.

No prob.  You were very kind in your response.   Smiley

I though that was when your bud hung around too much and got on your nerves.

Like, hey man, your bud a pest. Grin

If by post secondary education you mean college / university, you are sadly mistaken, there are plenty of stupid people with degrees

I was on a job with two engineers. They tried to design a tool for lifting a broken piece of casing pipe.. both broke. I designed the last one ,using the last of the one inch plate,, mine worked..and they weren't stupid, I'm just good at some stuff..

I won't ..... I was taught basic math in elementary school and as part of that training we were taught exactly HOW TO MAKE CHANGE and how to talk to the person while you did it.

Simple really, start with the $2.38 purchase price and put enough pennies into the guy's hand to make it to the next whole coin increment (2 cents gets you to $2.40) then get him up to the next quarter increment (a dime gets you to $2.50) then two quarters finishes the dollar.

You counted it out into his hand and talked to him while you did it -- making change was a professional skill that everyone had when I was a kid.

Of course it was assumed the person you were making change for was equally skilled and could easily keep up with the simple addition.

To this day my wife can just look at a grocery check out receipt and spot where her coupons were not correctly discounted -- and the clerks can't deal with that and have to call a manager who has to go get a calculator or else they void the item completely and ring it up again separately.

(I told one manager one time that they had charged me tax twice by doing that and it blew her mind ....)

My favorite,... American engineers spent like a million dollars designing a pen that would write upside-down for use in space... Russians had the same problem,.. they used a pencil instead...
