I'd have loved to have Blinky's reverse since my bike is actually heavier than his is. Smiley

Stuart,
Wow, I took a look at the specs for your Vision and it says 869 pounds dry weight! Easily over 900 pounds (or two plus Savages) wet. I don't think I could walk it back on flat pavement, much less with an up slope.

Was it this year you had the cross country trip planned?

Good Hunting

Hey Blinky.....How's that riding stuff going?

We have 9 degrees right now, 8"-12" of snow forecast for today, - 6 to -12 forecast for the middle of the week.

Luckily I hauled up a load of wood for the outdoor boiler yesterday....sounds like I am going to need it this week!  I will be hiding in the garage working on bike projects....getting ready for the arrival of spring.

Since the beginning of the year or Jan 1, I have put on 1,868 miles on my two bikes.  Some days it was quite nice and there were plenty of days where the highs were in the 30's.  Here are a couple pics from a recent ride to Florida.  It looks nice; but, it was 45 degrees when these photos were taken.

Best regards,

Well Dave, not very well as you can imagine. Looking out of my home office window now at the snow falling and at my diminishing wood pile for the fireplace. There is enough left for one or maybe two good fires. We don't use it as heat, but after a couple of hours when the ember bed builds up, it really takes the chill off.

The bike is back up on the center stand with the battery tender hooked up and all my motorcycle related winter maintenance and projects are completed. Nothing left to do but wait and consider trip options for the spring and summer, and be thankful we don't live in the northeast.

Good hunting

I have no idea what happened to our winter here in Oregon. I have not seen one snowflakes of yet and most likely will not this season. Today was sunny and 65. Forecast for the whole week is in the 60's. Set out in front of a bar/restaurant today and ate lunch in my tshirt with a bunch of riders soaking up the sun.

We're looking at lows in the low 20's here and single digits Wed and Thur nights with highs in the low 40's pretty much through the end of the month according to the extended forecast.

We had low 60's and a couple low 70's days at the start of the month.  Just had an ice storm last night.

I'll be glad to see this mess go away and see it get warm again.

Well, according to that stupid groundhog we have 4 more weeks of it... but hey, that's enough time for me to clean it up and fix small stuff.
Besides... I ride all winter here, won't ride tonight though... rain and freezing temps... and stupid florida drivers.... not a good mix.
Sad

I just got home from taking my daughters sledding. Really wish I hadn't taken that ride a few weeks ago. Like an alcoholic taking "just a sip."
