They still have the classic TT as well, some of those guys are averaging over 100 mph on old singles. That's an event I would love to attend before I die.

Get a big racing single and enter the race - maybe you could accomplish both the "attend" and "die" events in the same trip! Shocked

Dave truly is one of the boards most gifted problem solvers.
You're gonna need a darn fast old bike, BUT you don't want such a fine and rare one that people will mourn the loss of such a fine and rare machine more than you...
You see what you can do about finding a ride and I will see what I can do about getting a collection going, maybe we can sponsor the trip.
Of course, there is the matter of the life insurance policy, imagine the number of beneficiaries...

Yep.  It is 65cc of pure mildness!  And it has fresh new tires.

I feel I should mention, this bike has a top speed that is just about 45 mph.

You aren't to apt to get in over your head on it - but traveling at a speed that is about 1/4th the speed of your competition is most likely going to result in you being hit really hard from behind.

You might consider towing a ramp..so they fly over you.

Art:

The problem with the entire field passing you....is that they release a new rider every 10 seconds.  Since the course is about 38 miles, and the S65 will most likely average about 20 mph....it is going to take you nearly 2 hours to ride the course.  So...at 10 seconds a rider interval.....over 2 hours....you are going to be passed by 720 riders who are going an average of 112 mph faster than you are (2014 winner was 132 mph average).

So...I think you will need to pick the pace up a bit....or just be the last rider out. Wink  I will check and make sure the lights all work...just in case you finish after sunset.

Yeah, I watched that episode.... was pretty funny actually... it kept falling apart, and he finally had to dump his rider because of structural problems.
He of course stopped off at a couple of pubs along the way.
But they did actually finish the whole loop I believe (been awhile since I seen it) but I think they had to fix a major electrical problem.
