Front size tire
01/20/15 at 05:34:11

I was talking to somebody on Instagram that turned his Savage into a bobber and he mentioned that he replaced the stock front wheel for a bigger one to lift up the bike a bit more and give it a better "bobber" look.

I know 19" is the standard size of the rim, does anybody has done this?

Thanks in advance!

Not that I know of,... other than, possibly Yonuh, who went to a girder fork...
Anyway,... it's an expensive, complex proposition for a budget bike...
You should try to get more details from the fella' that told you about it...
...but if you have to ask,... it's likely beyond your paygrade, technically... Huh...

Rowboat isn't being a jerk, that's just straight up.
Ride it. Get 10,000 miles on it. Money spent on anything other than gas,oil and rubber? If it doesn't make it run or handle better , just for a. LOOK?
IMO, that's time wasted. Spend it riding or being with someone who matters or both.

I think there was only 1, and he had swapped out the whole front end.
besides finding a wheel to fit the savage, you'll probably need a new fender to go with it.

If a re-lace is possible.. (need to have the correct spoke count and angles)... it will cost you $500 to $600 for rim, spokes,  lacing, tire, and tube...
If you replace the entire wheel,... you have to deal with axle size, brakes and calipers (unless you lose the front brake)...
To me,.. a bike without a front brake is just butt jewelry...
I'll shut -up... Lips Sealed...

It's just too complicated and expensive... Lips Sealed...
