can i mount the finned thingy directly on top of the magic sh!t box? they are already sort of primed to fit together with some fat zip ties.

ya...that was gonna be my next question is should i take the finish off. it was sandblasted, primed with etch primer, then painted with a two-part automotive black. i've never noticed the thing getting that hot. i mean, its basically in open air. my bikes pretty lean. i think i will mount the two with something in between so air can flow and they dont touch.
