so I just did my first oil change (pat, pat). I put in T6 (with 1.5 oz of redline and 2.6 l oil). When I started the engine and checked the level when upright I had no bubble in it. Did I overfill? If so, what should I do?

I changed the filter and put in 2.6 liters plus 1.5oz of redline. I just took it for a 5 mile loop and it sounded fine... But I'm just a noob and don't want to hurt my Savage Beast!

Yes, I started it and had my wife look at the level and look for a bubble at the top. No bubble just oil.

Thanks. Is there a way to let the oil out that doesn't involve the same bolt used to fully drain the oil? Or is that idiots thinking? Cause that sucker is tough to get to when you don't have a stand...

I think you have too much oil in the bike.  2.6l is 2.7 quarts....and it should take 2.2.  You have about 1/2L too much.

The correct measure is with the bike level, and not running, you should be 1/2 way up the window.  Some folks are OK with it on the stand and just visible in the window.

What it the downside of too much oil?  The oil level is up where it can hit the bottom of the clutch basket, crankshaft, flywheel, etc......and that will throw a bunch of oil around, and waste horsepower.

It would be best is you took some out, and the drain plug is the only way I know to do it....unless you want to try and take out the cap over the magneto nut and tip the bike over on the left side to drain some out.....sounds messy to me.

take some tape and make a pour spout under the port so it won't drip all down the bottom of the engine.
and no extra tipping needed, leave it on the kickstand, pull the plug and when it's finished, it'll be at about the right level.

That's true... fact is, a little extra won't hurt much,... and too much will blow out the CCV...  
...but,... more than enough, is more than enough,... and oil is just sloshing around in the way of making power...

Using that logic,... even less will make more power?.. and it will for a very short while...
