Paypal used to be a simple payment service, you gave them a charge card number to get paid with and made your purchases and everything was neat and simple and it all took place behind the scenes.    You tracked the purchases and payments by looking at your charge card statement.

Now you get "seemingly are getting dunned" with a repeated PAYPAL billing statement that shows you owe them money all the time.   It seems to be just a monthly roll up of your activity and they are still get paid by the charge card company whenever they make the effort to get paid.

They also use any "lateness" within their own system to charge you interest because they were late billing the charge card company.

Now you are also getting coerced into linking your bank account information with Paypal because unless you do you are not "Paypal Certified".

Paypal is beginning to suck, strongly .....   Paypal wants to become a charge card company and a bank and they are being all stupid about it.

A couple years ago they started pestering me about linking a bank account with them and finally they quit processing a payment.  I looked around online and found out this was standard harassment and one lady gave me an email account at Paypal where you could directly communicate with their personnel.  I wrote them a polite note telling them I liked the service but would never, ever link a bank account to it.  They wrote a nice letter back and have never bothered me since.  I'll look for that address, maybe it is still around somewhere, and give it to you if I can find it.

It may be that I have accidentally lapped over from the casual side to the professional side of Paypal as I have all sorts of buy and sell money moving ability now that I don't need and a six months credit line that I didn't ask for.

Oh well -- I liked simple Ebay and simple Paypal just fine, but maybe I'll get used to the billing statements.

At one time even sold,  (GASP)  Guns on flea-bay.

Today, every dollar  you spend on flea-bay.
.04 - .07 cents, is Profit.
And, a VERY  HIGH, Percent of flea bay’s profit.
goes to,  ANTI-FREEDOM,   ANTI-GUN, causes.

Used to sell/buy on fleabay. Used to accept/send using Pirate Pay.

But just after flabby, BOUGHT Pirate Pay.
and, Pirate Pay, attempted to STEEL money from me.

Done !  

Their are LOTS of other places, to buy and sell from on the internet.
and LOTS of other ways to pay for those purchases.

ditto. i have a separate account at a separate bank for online play stuff. if hackers get into my account, they wont stop me from paying the mortgage.
