To add a little traction to your two-wheeler, place zip ties at even intervals around each tire. It's that simple". Any of you folks up north wanna give it a try?

Reply #6 - 01/15/15 at 08:02:31 Wow Sliding into your bike after falling could hurt ! Especially if it was still running in gear !!!! I had STUDDED snow tires on a Datsun B-110 for a winter. It would wheelie befor it would spin (on ICE) , and they were only 1/4" spikes. Riding on a wet road with no ice felt slippery.

I have watched the FIM Ice Gladiators competition on the MAV channel. They are a very rugged bunch of fellows, and the racing often occurs at 10 degrees below zero!

And if you notice, they do walk and move a bit weird....they are loaded down with armor and padding. I have seen them suiting up and they have chain mail on their torso, and their gloves have Armadillo style plates on the front of them.

Someday I will be old......But not today!
