Yes I see what you mean verslagen.
The guy who is going to do it is a retired tool maker and is handy with a lathe. His lathe is big and has lots of different attachments. I'm sure he could set something up.
I guess I should have just taken it to him but I like to get a lot of different ideas.
I will keep you posted and take pics of how it turns out.

In future I need to research more thoroughly before asking questions here.
I believe a 4 jaw chuck will hold the triple bottom and with some dialing in should work fine.

The advantage of using the faceplate is he can mount a center in it and also in the tailstock.
The spindle will held by centers and the tree dogged to the faceplate.
Very easy to set up.
