I could enjoy doing something like this. Most I have ridden in a day so far is around 350 miles and I have to admit I was a bit tired at the end. I'm pretty sure I could do 400 miles per day though. Heck, I guess 500 is probably doable also.

Originally, I was thinking of going to Colorado which is about 1,200 miles. I would split it up between two 600 mile days, which isn't too bad. If all was well, maybe making it out to Jackson Hole, Wy.; although, that is another 600 miles. Usually I go for about 2 hours and then pull over for some gas and water. I should be able to get away from work towards the end of June.....

This last summer I went out to NM and had a blast. The year before I went from Birmingham to Pittsburgh though the Appalachians. Smiley

I absolutely love NM. I did some rock hounding in the desert down there and had a blast.

Highway 50 is a good bike road if you want to avoid Interstates and cover some mileage with scenery. Then 10 to Walsenburg,160 over Wolf Creek Pass ,through Pagosa Springs to Durango. North on 550 (the "Million Dollar Highway"). Great bike ride.
