250 single cafe' racer!

If I didn't live in a hilly rural area in Kentucky.....this might be fun!

Evidently they are not yet available for sale - still going through EPA certification and setting it up for production.  The engine is made in China by Longcin.

Evidently the bike is made in a 125cc form and sold in other countries already.

Looks nice, although I wouldn't be surprised if some parts were a wee on the underengineered side (as... front brake  Undecided )

Europe has long been hot on 250 thumper racers...

Italy

England

Germany

YUP ! 250 racers are ... HOT ! RACY !!!

Here's another one. Also a Chinese engine. These have been around for a few years. There are even a few reviews online.

This Chinese bike might be more of a reality....then the 50cc Honda CR110 race bike.......of my dreams would be!

The cool thing about the race bike is that at only 50cc.....I could ride it on the street without needing a license!
(I might have to do something about that noisy open megaphone). Grin

Nice looking bikes !

However, I found out,
(as appealing as a 250 Thump-er, is, and 280 +/- lbs is).

A 250 cc, just does not do the trick, on a hill when it is windy.

Which is More TRUE, today, than yesterday.('06, S-40, Stock) well, mostly .

The $3,999 AVA Velocity "hope it will not break" Chinese or a $2,999 SYM Wolf ( http://www.alliancepowersports.com/models/wolf_specs.html ) Made in Taiwan 14.79 bhp 65+ mph 2-year-warranty with many dealers to back it up?  I think I would stick with a Wolf and for $1000 I could transform it into a Cafe.
