Hard Start after sitting.
11/09/14 at 10:14:24

Had my bike for a while. It's always been a little hard to start after sitting for more than a few weeks. Have to hook up a battery charger to start it. Replace the battery with the best one I could find. Always seems like if the headlight would stay off till its running it would start. Anyone have similar problems?

You could add an off-switch for the headlight...

... or,... ride more often... Grin...

The fuel in the float bowl could be evaporating during that two weeks, if you have the stock vacuum petcock.....you should be turning it to the prime position to flow fuel into the carb before you try and start it.

The stock vacuum petcock will take a bit of cranking to get enough fuel in the carb to start the bike...after sitting for a while.  That is why Suzuki provided a "prime" setting on the petcock.
