I don't really know how I started down this road to a Savage project. I was surfing the internet and started looking at 'bobbers'. The more I looked, the more I wanted one. I didn't just want to buy one, I wanted to build one. Only one problem.... I've never really worked on a motorcycle. I continued to research them and I stumbled onto Suzukisavage.com. So with the help of this website, I decided to jump in. I bought a 2000 LS650 with 11,900 miles. First thing i did was pull the side cover and check the cam chain tensioner. It was at 18mm. It's on it's way to Verslagen's to be modified.
