not another valve check thread...

just a quick question:
the gap for feeler gauge is directly below adjuster screw, correct? looking at below lock nut, below rocker arm, then under adjuster screw is the target?  hard time finding a good pict (but a good time finding TDC compression).

since you'll have a hard time getting it in anywhere else... yes.

and questions go in RSD, not the tech section.

There maybe threads somewhere on people who have bent up feeler strip to make the job easier and others who have used right angle type gauges.

Yeah, get that feeler gauge outta the set, bend a Ski tip on the end,get the engine at TDC, and make sure it stays there.. look at it once in a while..Rotate the engine the same way the tires turn,only..
You're gonna need to hold the adjusters while you SNUG the jam nut. It's ok if you aren't Sure you got them tight enough.. I wasn't,so,I went back in and checked.. Rather hafta go back in and waste time checking something that is ok than wreck it getting it reeaal good and tight so I'd feel comfortable that it's tight enough..
The feelers bent into a Z shape, with the ski tip..
