I think I read somewhere that the Marauder headlight mounts with a wider base or something. It's not a true plug and play. You have to modify the base to fit. Is this true?

There's no problem that a full tank of gas and a sunny day can't fix!

Well, I can say this thread has inspired me to either do a Marauder headlight, or to do a projector lamp. I think I'd prefer the Marauder as it's tech I'm familiar with... I know nothing about projector lights. I'll keep you all posted...

I can tell you EXACTLY what it feels like to get hit by a truck. I do not recommend anyone try it themselves.

1st issue with the LED headlight
I've been noticing some vibration coming from the headlight this week...
So today I took it apart and noticed a couple of the fan blades are missing.  Also the screw for the mount was gone.
snipped off a blade on the opposite side to balance it and found another screw along with a lock washer and it's back together.

Sorry to hear that, would hate to think i pointed someone at some bad gear, mine is still going strong, though stupid bucket rattle, and i had a second one that i put in my g/fs rebel still working fine. i wonder how well they will run w/o a fan at all. Id suggest we all, whoever has one, adds some threadlock to that mount screw at the least and keep looking at it.

The photo doesn't show the bottom of the mounting bracket to confirm that it has the 2 mounting screws that are 6mm - the light is likely a single "Harley" style bracket.

From the looks of that fluted lens, it is a "utility" or "work" style of light and it scatters the light at close range.  It will not be able to provide any useful light down the road for any distance.

It also only shows a black and a red wire - which would indicate that it is not a dual filament bulb that would have a High/Low beam.

It's got 3 wires for the plug in I ordered one to see if it won't work I will put it on the snowblower lol

I am a bit of  skeptic when it comes to buying something of quality with free shipping for $19.95 - I seriously doubt that you are going to get a headlight that works better than the stock light housing - you would have been better off to buy a $20 LED or Silverstar bulb.

Or if you are going for the all black look, just have the OEM unit powder coated.

No just trying to get more power for the ignition system to increase a hotter spark . So I'm trying to cut down on power usage everywhere else.

looks like a driving light, not a headlight.
just a bank of low power led's, with no focus... great if you want a flood light for 6 feet.
